A page-turner!
Most importantly, it was fun from start to finish! "Even a true caring passion eventually gives way to routine and function." There are clearly some deep and personal thoughts and feelings being shared here and throughout the book. The author succeeds at creating an ethereal setting where I can almost hear the poetry of his words hanging in the air! Definitely read this!

A Perfect Monster Story!
It says right on the cover - A Monster Story.
The Embalmer is a fantastic read, and a ton of fun.
The writing is lyrical and the characters bleed out from the page (pun intended!) This is an exciting, classic monster story that is well written and a rush to read.

What a great children's book!
The author takes us through his daughter’s experience with overcoming her fear of sleeping alone. My own three daughters are a little older now, but they too enjoyed reading it, remembering their own battles with monsters under the bed or in the closet! They all said that this book will be a perfect addition to their own libraries, once they have children of their own. The book’s illustrations are very well done, and truly help convey the author’s wonderfully creative message.

Fantastic Read, Wonderful Book for Kids!
Fun. Creative. Very well written. The Sleepy Gift was Perfect to read with my six-year-old daughter! It talks directly to children's fears of sleeping alone at night and then also the way to defeat those fears. The prose is simple and fun but reads more like a song or poem; the ”lyrics” are meaningful and the imagery is sharp. For parents, this is a powerful tool to help remind our children that they DO have the ability to conquer their fears and that they can rely on the love of family for strength.
The illustrations are vibrant and strong, clearly capturing the author’s message.
This is the author’s first book, and I'm hoping that there are many more planned!
